here’s some music i made to help me sleep, borrowing a lot from Eno’s concept of ambient music that’s “as interesting as it is ignorable”, while also sprinkling in some imagery from my dreams. these sounds have really helped me and i hope they can help you as well!

recommended directions:

step 1: speakers - i’ve been playing them from my bedside bluetooth clock thingy. phone or laptop speakers would do as well. something with a wider stereo might be helpful, or maybe not! im not sure.

step 2: volume - i set the volume so that i can hear only the general outline. it’s helpful to scroll to the loudest part to set the volume before starting from the beginning. it should feel like you’re looking over a hill and you can just *barely* make out the shapes of houses on the other side. make sure the music blends into the ambient sounds of your house/room.

step 3: sleep! and dream (or don’t if that’s not your thing)
